Python VLC MediaPlayer – Setting Current Audio Channel
In this article we will see how we can set the current audio channel of the MediaPlayer object in the python vlc module. VLC media player is a free and open-source portable cross-platform media player software and streaming media server developed by the VideoLAN project. MediPlyer object is the basic object in vlc module for playing the video. An audio channel or audio track is an audio signal communications channel in a storage device or mixing console, used in operations such as multi-track recording and sound reinforcement.
In order to do this we will use audio_set_channel
method with the MediaPlayer object
Syntax : media_player.audio_set_channel(n)
Argument : It takes channel id as argument
Return : It returns 0 on success, -1 on error.
Below is the implementation
import vlc
import time
media_player = vlc.MediaPlayer()
media = vlc.Media( "death_note.mkv" )
media_player.set_media(media)
media_player.video_set_scale( 0.6 )
media_player.audio_set_channel( 1 )
media_player.audio_set_volume( 80 )
media_player.play()
time.sleep( 5 )
|
Output :
