In this article we will see how we can get full screen status of the MediaPlayer object in the python vlc module. VLC media player is a free and open-source portable cross-platform media player software and streaming media server developed by the VideoLAN project. MediPlyer object is the basic object in vlc module for playing the video. We can create a MediaPlayer object with the help of MediaPlayer
method. Enabling full screen status make it full screen it is similar to toggling full screen but with this status we can undo the full screen. This status can be set with the help of set_fullscreen
method.
In order to do this we will use get_fullscreen
method with the MediaPlayer object
Syntax : media_player.get_fullscreen()
Argument : It takes no argument
Return : It returns 1 if true else 0
Below is the implementation
import vlc
import time
media_player = vlc.MediaPlayer()
media_player.media_player.set_fullscreen( True )
media = vlc.Media( "death_note.mkv" )
media_player.set_media(media)
media_player.play()
time.sleep( 5 )
value = media_player.get_fullscreen()
print ( "Full Screen : " )
print (value)
|
Output :
Full Screen :
1
Another example
import vlc
import time
media_player = vlc.MediaPlayer()
media = vlc.Media( "1mp4.mkv" )
media_player.set_media(media)
media_player.play()
time.sleep( 5 )
value = media_player.get_fullscreen()
print ( "Full Screen : " )
print (value)
|
Output :
Full Screen :
0
