Python is a great language for doing data analysis, primarily because of the fantastic ecosystem of data-centric python packages. Pandas is one of those packages and makes importing and analyzing data much easier.

Pandas TimedeltaIndex.is_unique attribute checks if all the entries in the TimedeltaIndex is unique or not. If the entries are not unique, False value is returned else True value is returned.

Syntax : TimedeltaIndex.is_unique

Return : boolean

Example #1: Use TimedeltaIndex.is_unique attribute to check if the entries in the TimedeltaIndex object is unique or not.

# importing pandas as pd
import pandas as pd

# Create the TimedeltaIndex object
tidx = pd.TimedeltaIndex(start ='1 days 02:00:00', periods = 5, freq ='T')

# Print the TimedeltaIndex
print(tidx)

Output :

Now we will check if the TimedeltaIndex object contain unique entries or not.

# check if tidx is containing unique values or not.
tidx.is_unique

Output :

As we can see in the output, the TimedeltaIndex.is_unique attribute has returned True indicating that value in tidx object is unique.

Example #2: Use TimedeltaIndex.is_unique attribute to check if the entries in the TimedeltaIndex object is unique or not.

# importing pandas as pd
import pandas as pd

# Create the TimedeltaIndex object
tidx = pd.TimedeltaIndex(data =['1 days 02:00:00', '1 days 06:05:01.000030',
                                                        '1 days 02:00:00'])

# Print the TimedeltaIndex
print(tidx)

Output :

Now we will check if the TimedeltaIndex object contain unique entries or not.

# check if tidx is containing unique values or not.
tidx.is_unique

Output :

As we can see in the output, the TimedeltaIndex.is_unique attribute has returned False indicating that value in tidx object are not unique.
