With the help of numpy.ndarray.__iadd__() method, we can add a particular value that is provided as a parameter in the ndarray.__iadd__() method. Value will be added to every element in a numpy array.

Syntax: ndarray.__iadd__($self, value, /)

Return: self+=value

Example #1 :
In this example we can see that each and every element in an array is added with the value given as a parameter in method ndarray.__iadd__(). Remember this method will work with every type of numeric value.




# import the important module in python
import numpy as np
    
# make an array with numpy
gfg = np.array([1.2, 2.6, 3, 4.5, 5])
    
# applying ndarray.__iadd__() method
print(gfg.__iadd__(5))


Output:

[  6.2   7.6   8.    9.5  10. ]

Example #2 :




# import the important module in python
import numpy as np
    
# make an array with numpy
gfg = np.array([[1, 2.2, 3, 4, 5.01],
                [6.1, 5, 4.8, 3, 2]])
    
# applying ndarray.__iadd__() method
print(gfg.__iadd__(3))


Output:

[[ 4.    5.2   6.    7.    8.01]
 [ 9.1   8.    7.8   6.    5.  ]]
