With the help of Numpy matrix.partition() method, we are able to partition the matrix in such a way that index value that we pass sort the matrix like all the values smaller than that value is move left to it and others are right with the help of matrix.partition() method.

Syntax : matrix.partition(index)

Return : Return partitioned matrix

Example #1 :
In this example we can see that we are able to partition the given matrix with the help of method matrix.partition().

# import the important module in python
import numpy as np

# make matrix with numpy
gfg = np.matrix('[64, 1, 12, 3]')

# applying matrix.partition() method
gfg.partition(3)

print(gfg)

Output:

[[ 1  3 12 64]]

Example #2 :

# import the important module in python
import numpy as np

# make a matrix with numpy
gfg = np.matrix('[11, 29, 3, 44, 25, 16, 71, 8, 19]')

# applying matrix.partition() method
gfg.partition(3)

print(gfg)

Output:

[[ 3  8 11 16 19 25 29 44 71]]
