Python – cmath.acosh() function

cMath module contains a number of functions which is used for mathematical operations for complex numbers. The cmath.acosh() function returns the inverse hyperbolic cosine value of a complex number. The value passed in this function can be int, float, and complex numbers.

Syntax: cmath.acosh(x)

Parameter:This method accepts only single parameters.

  • x :This parameter is the value to be passed to acosh()

Returns:This function returns the inverse hyperbolic value of a  complex number.

Below examples illustrate the use of above function:

Example #1 : In this example we can see that by using cmath.acosh() method, we are able to get the values of inverse hyperbolic by passing any value to it.

import cmath 
    
# using cmath.acosh() method 
val = cmath.acosh(3
    
print(val)

(1.762747174039086+0j)
