In this article we will see how we can set alignment to the spin box, by default the spin box text is left aligned although we can change it, there are many alignment available for spin box. There are lots of alignment flags offered for spin box.
Below is the list of alignment flag
Qt.AlignLeft Qt.AlignRight Qt.AlignHCenter Qt.AlignJustify Qt.AlignTop Qt.AlignBottom Qt.AlignVCenter Qt.AlignBaseline Qt.AlignCenter Qt.AlignAbsolute Qt.AlignLeading Qt.AlignTrailing
In order to set these alignment flag to the spin box we use setAlignment method.
Syntax : spin_box.setAlignment(alignment_flag)
Argument : It takes alignment flag as argument
Action performed : It sets alignment to the spin box.
Below is the implementation
# importing libraries from PyQt5.QtWidgets import * from PyQt5 import QtCore, QtGui
from PyQt5.QtGui import * from PyQt5.QtCore import * import sys
class Window(QMainWindow):
def __init__( self ):
super ().__init__()
# setting title
self .setWindowTitle( "Python " )
# setting geometry
self .setGeometry( 100 , 100 , 600 , 400 )
# calling method
self .UiComponents()
# showing all the widgets
self .show()
# method for widgets
def UiComponents( self ):
# creating spin box
self .spin = QSpinBox( self )
# setting geometry to spin box
self .spin.setGeometry( 100 , 100 , 250 , 60 )
# setting prefix to spin
self .spin.setPrefix( "Prefix " )
# setting suffix to spin
self .spin.setSuffix( " Suffix" )
# alignment flag
alignment_flag = Qt.AlignBottom
# setting alignment to the spin box
self .spin.setAlignment(alignment_flag)
# creating another spin box
spinbox = QSpinBox( self )
# setting alignment to the spinbox
spinbox.setAlignment(Qt.AlignRight)
# create pyqt5 app App = QApplication(sys.argv)
# create the instance of our Window window = Window()
# start the app sys.exit(App. exec ())
