PyQt5 QSpinBox – Scrolling it
In this article we will see how we can scroll the spin box. Scrolling can be done by scrolling the pixels to right and scrolling pixels to downward. After scrolling, the widgets will receive paint events for the areas that need to be repainted. For spin box that Qt knows is to be opaque, this is only the newly exposed parts. For example, if an opaque spin box is scrolled 8 pixels to the left, only an 8-pixel wide stripe at the right edge needs updating.
Note : If spin box uses contents propagation, a scroll will cause an update of the entire scroll area.
In order to do this we use scroll method with the spin box object.
Syntax : spin_box.scroll(right, down)
Argument : It takes two integer as argument
Return : It returns None
Below is the implementation
Python3
from PyQt5.QtWidgets import *
from PyQt5 import QtCore, QtGui
from PyQt5.QtGui import *
from PyQt5.QtCore import *
import sys
class Window(QMainWindow):
def __init__( self ):
super ().__init__()
self .setWindowTitle( "Python " )
self .setGeometry( 100 , 100 , 600 , 400 )
self .UiComponents()
self .show()
def UiComponents( self ):
self .spin = QSpinBox( self )
self .spin.setGeometry( 100 , 100 , 250 , 40 )
self .spin.setRange( 1 , 999999 )
self .spin.setPrefix( "PREFIX " )
self .spin.setSuffix( " SUFFIX" )
self .spin.scroll( - 5 , 6 )
App = QApplication(sys.argv)
window = Window()
sys.exit(App. exec ())
