In this article we will see how we can update the spin box if any changes occur, in traditional building of GUI(Graphical User Interface) every time we make changes in the widget we have to update the widget so that user can see the new updated spin box. For example in PyGame when we make change we have to refresh the screen or update the screen so that new event can be displayed. But in PyQt5 spin box automatically update it self every time any change occur to it although we can call the update method to update it explicitly. Note : It is unless when spin box updates are disabled or it is hidden In order to do so we use update method.
Syntax : spin_box.update() Argument : It takes no argument Action performed : It updates the spin box
Below is the implementation
Python3
from PyQt5.QtWidgets import *
from PyQt5 import QtCore, QtGui
from PyQt5.QtGui import *
from PyQt5.QtCore import *
import sys
class Window(QMainWindow):
def __init__( self ):
super ().__init__()
self .setWindowTitle("Python ")
self .setGeometry( 100 , 100 , 600 , 400 )
self .UiComponents()
self .show()
def UiComponents( self ):
self .spin = QSpinBox( self )
self .spin.setGeometry( 100 , 100 , 250 , 40 )
self .spin.setPrefix("Prefix ")
self .spin.setSuffix(" Suffix")
self .spin.update()
App = QApplication(sys.argv)
window = Window()
sys.exit(App. exec ())
