In this article we will see how we can get the name of the spin box, name is basically used to distinguish spin box with each other, programmer can name the spin box according to its use so that they can be easily distinguishable, by default no name is given to the combo box. Name can be set using setAccessibleName method. In order to get the name we use accessibleName method.

Syntax : spin_box.accessibleName()

Argument : It takes no argument

Return : It returns string

Below is the implementation

Python3

# importing libraries
from PyQt5.QtWidgets import *
from PyQt5 import QtCore, QtGui
from PyQt5.QtGui import *
from PyQt5.QtCore import *
import sys

class Window(QMainWindow):

    def __init__(self):
        super().__init__()

        # setting title
        self.setWindowTitle("Python ")

        # setting geometry
        self.setGeometry(100, 100, 600, 400)

        # calling method
        self.UiComponents()

        # showing all the widgets
        self.show()

    # method for widgets
    def UiComponents(self):
        # creating spin box
        self.spin = QSpinBox(self)

        # setting geometry to spin box
        self.spin.setGeometry(100, 100, 250, 40)

        # setting prefix to spin
        self.spin.setPrefix("Prefix ")

        # setting suffix to spin
        self.spin.setSuffix(" Suffix")

        # name
        name = " Geek Spin box "

        # setting name to spin box
        self.spin.setAccessibleName(name)

        # creating a label
        label = QLabel(self)

        # getting the name
        get_name = self.spin.accessibleName()

        # setting text to the label
        label.setText("Name : " + get_name)

        # setting geometry to the label
        label.setGeometry(100, 200, 300, 30)

# create pyqt5 app
App = QApplication(sys.argv)

# create the instance of our Window
