PyQt5 QCalendarWidget – Making it active window
In this article we will see how we can make the QCalendarWidget an active window. An active window is a visible top-level window that has the keyboard input focus. Making it active window will sets the top-level widget containing this calendar to be the active window.
Note : The window must be visible, otherwise activateWindow() has no effect.
In order to do this we will use activateWindow method with the QCalendarWidget object.
Syntax : calendar.activateWindow()
Argument : It takes no argument
Action Performed : It return None
Below is the implementation
Python3
from PyQt5.QtWidgets import *
from PyQt5 import QtCore, QtGui
from PyQt5.QtGui import *
from PyQt5.QtCore import *
import sys
class Window(QMainWindow):
def __init__( self ):
super ().__init__()
self .setWindowTitle( "Python " )
self .setGeometry( 100 , 100 , 600 , 400 )
self .UiComponents()
self .show()
def UiComponents( self ):
calendar = QCalendarWidget( self )
calendar.setGeometry( 10 , 10 , 400 , 250 )
calendar.setAccessibleName( "Geek Calendar" )
calendar.activateWindow()
App = QApplication(sys.argv)
window = Window()
sys.exit(App. exec ())
