PyQt5 QCalendarWidget – Grabbing Mouse Input

In this article we will see how we can grab the mouse input for the QCalendarWidget. By grabbing mouse the calendar will not be affected, except that it doesn’t receive any mouse events. setFocus moves the focus as usual, but the new focus widget receives mouse events only after releaseMouse is called.

In order to do this we will use grabMouse method with the QCalendarWidget object.

Syntax : calendar.grabMouse()

Argument : It takes no argument

Return : It return None

Note: Only visible calendar can grab mouse input. If isVisible() returns false for a calendar then it cannot call grabMouse().
