Given 6 point inside a square of side 10cm, what is the probability that there exist at least two points whose distance is less than 8cm? Asked In: FICO

Answer:

Explanation: The logic of the solution is that if you draw 6 points inside a square of 10 cm then it’s sure that there are at least two points within 8cm. Imagine if you draw four points at the vertices of square then their distance between each other is 10 cm. Now you can’t draw the remaining two points such that the distance is less than or equal to 8 cm. There should be at least two points whose distance is less than 8cm. so by simple observation the probability is 1.
