PowerSchool Interview Experience

PowerSchool(bangalore) Internship+Full-time Interview Process  

Before starting the interview process they conducted a Pre-Pacement Talk for 1 hour and the eligibility criteria to apply is CGPA should be above 7.5 

This Interview process is of 5 Steps and The complete interview process in online done through Microsoft Teams

Step 1: UCAT Exam(Aptitude Test)

• Basic Aptitude Questions were asked and the only problem is we need to manage time, 40 questions should be answered in 20 minutes, the question are very easy. 
• We need to get at-least 60% to get qualified for next rounds

Step 2: Technical Exam(15Mcqs and 2 Coding Questions)

• 15 Mcqs based on DBMS, OS, CN and Data Structures and two coding questions.

Step 3: Technical Interview

• This Interview is for 30-40 minutes, they ask questions on all CS related topics(oops ,DS, CN OS) basic to intermediate level questions were asked, one or two logical questions are also asked , They mainly test our basic skills and few questions related to projects which mentioned in resume
• After 30 minutes HR Called for next interview round which is around 2 hours after this interview.

Step 4: Managerial Round

• This interview will be for 40-60 minutes.Here, The manager will test our Technical Skills and  Communication skills. They ask few questions about our hobbies and area of interests, Majority of questions will be asked based on our resume and projects mentioned in our resume. at last few questions were asked on Data Structures, DBMS and Operating Systems. 
• The Manager is very cool first he tried to reduce my tension and then he slowly started to ask technical questions. first he asked about my area of interest and many questions were asked based on my interests 

Step 5: HR Round  

This round is for 15 to 20 Minutes, casual HR questions were asked and Communication skills will be tested in this round

2. OOPS Concepts Questions
3. Java Collection Framework  
4. What is Garbage collection and how it works?
5. Different Data Structures real time examples
6. Primary Key and Unique Key Difference  
7. Detail Explanation of Projects(Mentioned in Resume)
8. Write Code for frequency of each character in a given String  

After 1 week they released selected students list, 15 members got selected from our campus for 10 months internship+conversion to Full-time(Based on performance) and luckily I was one among them. 

My advice is to be thorough with what you mentioned in resume. Majority of interviews will be based on our resume and have a good command in Data Structures and any one programming language have good communication skills and don’t be tensed while presenting yourself, All The Best.
