The Imagick::getSamplingFactors() function is an inbuilt function in PHP which is used to get the horizontal and vertical sampling factor.

Syntax:

array Imagick::getSamplingFactors( void )

Parameters: This function doesn’t accepts any parameter.

Return Value: This function returns an associative array with the horizontal and vertical sampling factors of the image.

Exceptions: This function throws ImagickException on error.

Below given programs illustrate the Imagick::getSamplingFactors() function in PHP:

Program 1:

// Create a new imagick object
$imagick = new Imagick(
  
$imagick->setSamplingFactors(array('2', '4', '5'));
  
// Get the Sampling factors
$samplingFactors = $imagick->getSamplingFactors();

?>


Output:

Array
(
    [0] => 2
    [1] => 4
    [2] => 5
)

Array // Empty array value because sampling factors aren't set
