Philips Interview Experience (On-Campus)

After applying for Philips, first they shortlisted students based on the resume. Out of around 200 people, only 50 made through.

Round  1:  Online Test(60 minutes)

The test was conducted on Mettl platform. There were 10 logical reasoning questions which had to be solved in 10 minutes. Then there were 2 coding question which needs to be solved in 50 minutes. Only C, C++ and Java was allowed . The question which I got was:

1) Reverse a struct type array, and

2) Count the number of palindrome words in a sentence.

You need to solve both the coding question to clear this round.

Round 2: Technical Round(30 minutes)

Started with tell me about yourself.

Long discussion on projects. Questions related to project.

When to use which sorting algorithms, their complexities. Implement heap sort

One puzzle and then some HR questions.

Round 3: Managerial Round(30 minutes)

Again started with tell me about yourself.

Had to brief him about the project, the problems faced and how did you solve them.

Some time management related questions.

How comfortable are you with the topics that are taught in your college.

How will you motivate others when things are not going in your way.

In this round they were just seeing how well can you communicate and express your thoughts.

Round 4: HR Round(15 minutes)

Tell me about yourself, your hobbies.

Family Background

Why Philips? What do you know about Philips? (You can answer this only if you had attended their pre-placement talk)

If you get an offer from Google, what will you do?

Are you comfortable with Bangalore?

Finally, only 2 were selected for internship.

All the interview rounds were conducted on MS Teams.
