Persistent Interview Experience

Persistent came to our campus on three packages of 4.41, 6.41 and 8.41. They had conducted a total of 4 rounds of the students.

Round 1: It is a MCQ round which consist of questions from Aptitude, Operating System, Computer Networks, DBMS and also to find out the output or error in the program or function provided. It consist of 60 questions and their in no negative marking. The time provided is of one hour. Their are around 5 question form aptitude, 5 to 10 questions are from Operating System, 5 to 10 questions are from CN, 15 questions are from SEPM(Software Engineering and Programming Model), 5 questions are form DBMS and 15 questions are from the C and

C++ based on determining the output or the errors or the required statement. Around 700 students participated in the round1 out of which around 100 were selected for further interviews. The top 20 performers were selected for the advance coding round and the remaining were interviewed directly for the package of 4.41 LPA.

Advance Coding Round: In the round their is one coding question of medium level. All they want to check is your logical abilities and problem solving capabilities. The time period is of around 90 minutes. Only one text case is provided and you can code in any language of your choice from (C, C++, Java and Python).

Technical Round 1: In this round they want to check your basic technical abilities. They will ask about your projects and various questions on the subjects you have mentioned on your resume. The will also make you write some programs. This round will take around 15 to 20 minutes.

Some questions from this round are:

  1. Tell me something about yourself.
  2. About my project.
  3. Sql query to find out the second highest salary.
  4. Aggregate functions.
  5. Stored Procedures.
  6. Binary Search Tree ( defination, traversal)
  7. BFS and DFS trversal
  8. WAP to print all the permutation of a string.

Technical Round 2: In this round they are going to ask some difficult technical questions. They are going to ask you about the various new technologies on which you have worked. The time period for this round is about 30 to 40 minutes.

Some questions from this round are:

  1. Tell me something about yourself.
  2. About my project.
  3. What is subnet.
  4. Complete diagram of network with subnets and their ip addresses and subnet mask.
  5. Real Life implementation of a Linked List.
  6. Multithreading

HR Round: The HR round is quite easy. They just want to check my confidence and communication abilities. This round could take around 10 to 30 minutes.

Some questions from this round are:

  1. Tell me something about yourself.
  2. About my family background.
  3. About my friends.
  4. Strength and Weakness.
  5. Some tricky questions like(what are you gonna do if a this water bottle on your face).
  6. He even asked do I have a girlfriend.
  7. Asked about my relation with my grandmother.
