Hello Geeks,I am going to share my interview experience with Paytm for which I had applied off-campus. This applying procedure had a funny story as I was a final year student so I used to apply for different companies at that time and at the end of the day even I was not able to remember the name of the company so, I applied for Paytm and I didn’t remember that I applied I got a call from their team at first I thought (“Koi firki le Raha hai “) Someone out of my friend is doing prank I didn’t take it seriously but at the end, it was PAYTM. Enough about the story now starting with procedure.I had seen a post on LinkedIn and I shared my resume with Paytm and then I got called in 1 week they took a phone call interview and told me that we are putting you forward to the next round. Round1: After the Telephonic interview, they told me that they will share the test assessment link which will be valid for 24 hours and the test was for 70 minutes.

Round 1: Online Test

Round 2

  • After the first round, I was a bit nervous because it was my first company for which I was going to give TI.
  • At first, the interviewer first introduced himself, and then he told me to not scary and it is going to be chill around then he told me to introduce myself then he asked some questions about my project and then he told me that he will first ask questions on CN, OP, DBMS, OOPS then He will ask coding questions.
  • He asked some questions in CN some basic but when he starting going into deep then I told him that I am not that comfortable with CN and OP he said okay no problem. He started asking questions in OOPS I answered every question. Then he started asking questions on OOPS related to my project I answered them as well, this question answer round was for about 20 to 30 minutes.
  • Then he told me to share my screen and gave me one question based on string encryption that was easy I did it in 5 minutes and explained the code and tested it on the test cases he gave. Then he told me to implement a linked list which I did in 20 minutes (took more time because I was narrating it to him as well) after that he gave me asked me to get the middle element in the linked list at first I explained Brute force then optimized (By slow and fast pointer approach) he was stratified it after that he was running out time so he showed me Tree question and told me to just give him approach no need to code.https://www.geeksforgeeks.org/problems/level-order-traversal-in-spiral-form/1#I explained to him the solution he said optimize , I did He said it is fine can you do it recursively I said yes can give me 2 mins he said no okay fine done your interview is done.
  • He asked me what is your preference (backend, frontend, Android Development) I shared my point then he said this was your last round after that result will be declared, HR will contact you. He said any question for then we had 2 min of discussion. The interviewer was very easy he made it easier for me . The experience was great, results are not declared yet.

Tips:

Be confident and make the interview interactive, don’t panic, Before answering any question clear all your doubts.

I would like to Thank GeeksforGeeks for such wonderful content and detailed coverage of all topics.
