Octro Interview Experience for SDE (On-Campus) 2022

Round 1: Online Assessment 1: Platform: Mettl. Sections contained: MCQs on DSA, DBMS, OS, aptitude and 2 coding question. Coding questions were on Stack, Two pointers.

Verdict: 53 students cleared this round including me and received mail after a few days.

Round 2: Technical Interview 1 (Offline): The interviewer was reading my resume and asked questions regarding the projects like why I used PHP and asked to explain Socket IO. She asked about quick sort, its implementation, and the difference between it and merge sort. Then she asked DSA questions like Insertion in Linked List and Find a minimum element in Stack. The interview lasted for 25 minutes approx.

Verdict: 25 students were selected from this round including me and were informed shortly.

Round 3: Technical Interview 2 (Offline): The interviewer asked very detailed questions on Java oops, SQL and OS. He also asked to write a program for Deadlock. 

This round was based on Core Subjects. Since the company is based on gaming, he asked about my interests in gaming. The interview lasted for approx. 45 min. 

Verdict: 8 students were selected including me and were given internship + FTE.

Tip: One should have a deep understanding of the core subjects to clear the Octro Interview.
