Oceania Continent:
Oceania is the smallest of all the continents in the world considering the landmass. it’s a population of forty million people, creating it the sixth least inhabited continent in the world, simply behind Antarctica. it’s usually noted as Australia, however, Australia is one of the countries that may be found on this continent.
Though it is an awfully small continent, it is composed of fourteen countries such as Australia, Micronesia, Fiji, Kiribati, Marshall Islands, Nauru, New Zealand, Palau, Papua New Guinea, Samoa, Solomon Islands, Tonga, Tuvalu, and Vanuatu.
Some Facts about Oceania:
1. Mariana Trench is located in the Pacific Ocean and belongs to Oceania. It is the world‘s deepest trench.
2. Polynesia located in the central and southern Pacific Ocean consists of more than 1000 islands. Polynesia is a triangle made out of three sides such as Hawaii Island, New Zealand, and Easter Island.
3. Uluru, also known as Ayers Rock, is a sandstone rock platform located in Australia. It is UNESCO World Heritage Site and it largest rock in the world.
4. Mount Cook is the highest mountain in Oceania and is also known as Aoraki found in New Zealand.
5. More than half of the population of this continent follows Christianity.
