NielsonIQ Interview Experience

Hello Everyone, I wanted to share my experience with NielsonIQ (A big data company) :

Round 01: Aptitude Round: First round was the aptitude round. Thirty questions thirty minutes. It was on general quants, reasoning, or some other type of question not able to remember exactly. It was an easy level. But yes cut-off was very high. Fortunately, I got mail for a coding round. (out of 300-400 students only 79 were shortlisted for the coding round)

Round 02: Coding Round:

• The first question was on String.
• The second question was on Trees I was able to solve both. (level medium) geeks for geeks is a very good platform to study and practice coding.

out of 79, only 21 were shortlisted for Interview Rounds.

Round 03: Interview Round: The first interview was totally on coding. 2 question was there I was able to solve both. he was quite happy .then he asked me which area is my favorite one I said: DBMS . as soon as I uttered DBMS he asked me what is big data questions, and the discussion was going on and some oops concepts some networking questions were there and some OS concept was there.

Round 04: Second Interview: Fortunately, SecondIi got mail for the next round only 11 out of 21 got mail for the second round. it was a technical round that was easy for me to answer.

some questions :

• What is VP?
• What are HTTPS/HTTP differences and some info?
• What are big data analysis steps required to refine the big data elaborate refine
• What is indexing??
• What is DBMS its history and everything why is it in use?
• What is query optimization?
• What was your pointer in the last sem?
• Ok, now which subject is your favorite?
• Ok then why do you dislike other subjects it was for fun. ? I said (the BI) business Intelligence discussion was going on for BI all concepts. of BI.
• Other subjects you like ? I said yes principle of COMPILER DESIGN.
• What are the different phases of it I was able to explain everything.
• What is query optimization? how can we achieve it.?
• OOPS, the concept is all in-depth.
• Now some behavioral when question means it was HR round :
• What was the point in your life when you feel demotivated?
• I was able to explain everything.
• Now let’s take a situation, u r grp leader one of the members in your group is not working properly what action you will do?
• That time I was working on my college project and the same situation happened to me in real so I was able to explain everything. It was a good exp. sir said now I’ve done from my side do you have any questions?
• I asked very wisely sir can you please suggest to me some points where I lag so that I can work on it? it was I was asking for feedback indirectly don’t ask them directly whether they will push your name further is not recommended. so I found another way.
• He said then no no tushar u ra a good candidate I like the way you speak and your presentation skills of yours.
• So it was a good sign.
• The interview was ended from their side before the time so I was quite confused that it was good or bad.

BUT THE RESULTS CAME AND THEY SHORTLISTED 8 CANDIDATES AND I WAS ONE OF THEM.

Tips:

• Go through your resume, project, and background.
• Speak every day in front of the mirror so that your fluency would not become a barrier to your success.
• GOOD COMMUNICATION AND WISE USE OF WORDS ARE ALWAYS TAKEN TO THE FINAL SELECTION.
