Newfold Digital Interview Experience (On-Campus) 2022

Newfold digital (Endurance International Group) visited our campus for hiring in the month of September 2021 for the position of Operations Engineer

There were a total of five rounds conducted which are detailed as follows:-

Round 1: First round was conducted online and consisted of 60 questions in total. Their questions were from core subjects like computer networks, DBMS, Oops, Operation systems, and the basics of DS. Around 50 students made it to the next round. This round has negative markings also.

Round 2: Second round was the coding round.

• It consisted of 3 coding questions. The questions were easy to medium level.
• The questions were based on string minimization, rearranged array, and subarray related. I solved 2 of them fully.
• Whoever did around 2 got qualified for the next round.

Around 26 students got qualified for the next round.

Round 3(Technical Interview 1): This round mainly depends on the interviewer. Some asked for related coding language and some will ask for full CN related. This round is mainly theoretical round. I was asked basics of CN like all layers, HTTP vs HTTPS, ports and IP addresses, basics of java like all exception handling, infinity loop in java, and one basic coding question. Around 10 were selected for the second round.

Round 4(Technical Interview 2): This round was more challenging than the previous one as this was a full in-depth round.

Two panelists joined the call and asked questions mostly related to the real-life implementation of different computer science concepts. Practical questions like what happens when we search on google, and how the process works were asked. Basic Linux questions were also asked. A depth project was asked why and how this is used.

Around 6 were selected for the HR round.

Round 5(HR Round): This round was more like a formality. And if you are through to the HR round, it’s almost certain you will get the offer. Standard HR questions were asked.

The next day, the results came and I was offered the Operation Engineer role at Newfold digital.

Verdict: Selected

TIPS:

• Focus more on core CS concepts.
• The main focus is on CN concepts. Full-depth CN knowledge is required.
• Be confident, and explain your answers in your own words. Don’t go only by the bookish definition.
• Have knowledge about the real-life implementations of different data structures and algorithms.
