Here we are presenting the second list of Mughal Architecture. The General Study section is the major and important section for SSC CGL, Banking, Railway and for other exams. In every exam, 2 or 3 questions are asked about this topic.

Diwan-e-Khas Shahjahan Agra Fort This building was completely built of marble. The emperor used to hold his court in this.
Diwan-e-Aam Shahjahan Agra Fort This building was completely built of red stones.
Shahjahanabad Shahjahan Delhi  It was founded as a walled city named Shahjahanabad in 1639.
Macchi Bhawan Shahjahan Agra Fort Machi Bhawan was used by the royal family for fishing.
Sheesh Mahal Shahjahan Agra Fort Sheesh Mahal is built under Diwan-i-Khas. There has been a lot of use of glass in this. There are two cisterns built to bathe in it.
Khas Mahal  Shahjahan Agra Fort This is a completely made marble building which is built near Diwan-i-Khas.
Angoori Bagh Shahjahan Agra Fort This building is built near the Khas Mahal. This building was for the women of the harem.
Musamman Burj Shahjahan Agra Fort Musamman Burj was also called Shah Burj. it was made of white marble.
Jharokha-e-Darshan Shahjahan Agra Fort The emperor used to give darshan to the public through Jharokha-e-Darshan. Made of white marble, this building was situated between Khas Mahal and Musamman Burj, from where the emperor also used to watch the fight of elephants.
Shahi Masjid Shahjahan Agra Fort It is built near the special palace, in which Shah Jahan used to go for Namaz.
Nagina Masjid Shahjahan Agra Fort It was built for the use of haram women.
Moti Masjid Shahjahan Agra Fort This is the most beautiful building of Agra Fort. It is situated above the Diwan-e-Khas. It is completely made of marble.
Jama Masjid Jahanara Agra It is located near Agra Fort.
      It was built by Shah Jahan in the memory of his beloved Begum Mumtaz Mahal. It is situated on the banks of river Yamuna at a distance of 1 miles from Agra Fort. Its construction work was completed under the supervision of Ustad Isa Khan. In this, the Char Bagh method has also been adopted. It also has four minarets on its four corners.

Red Fort  Shahjahan Delhi  It is situated on the bank of river Yamuna.
Diwan-i-Khas Shahjahan Red Fort       (Delhi ) It is the most ornate building of the Mughal period.
Rang Mahal Shahjahan Red Fort       (Delhi ) It served as a part of the imperial harem and was known as the Palace of Distinction.
Nahar-e-Bahisht Shahjahan Red Fort       (Delhi ) Water was supplied to the Red Fort through Nahar-e-Bahisht.
Jama Masjid Shahjahan Delhi It is one of the largest mosques in India.
Shalimar Bagh Shahjahan Lahore  Shalimar garden is also part of UNESCO world heritage .
Tomb of Rabia-ul-Durrani Aurangzeb Aurangabad It was built by Aurangzeb for his wife. It is also called the Taj Mahal of the South or the other Taj Mahal.
Banaras Masjid Aurangzeb Banaras It was constructed by Aurangzeb in 1669 upon the demolition of an older Shiva temple.
Mathura Masjid Aurangzeb Mathura  The Shahi Idgah mosque in Mathura was built on the orders of Emperor Aurangzeb.
