MoviePy – Getting Width of Video File Clip
In this article we will see how we can get the width of the video file in MoviePy. MoviePy is a Python module for video editing, which can be used for basic operations on videos and GIF’s. Width is the part of the dimensions of the video, width is basically the base of the video. We can load the video file clip with the help of command given below
clip = VideoFileClip(file_name)
In order to do this we will use w attribute with the VideoFileClip object Syntax : clip.w Argument : It takes no argument Return : It returns integer
Below is the implementation
Python3
from moviepy.editor import *
clip = VideoFileClip("dsa_geek.webm")
clip1 = clip.subclip( 0 , 10 )
width = clip1.w
print ("Width of clip : " + str (width))
print (" - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - ")
clip1.ipython_display(width = 480 )
|
Output :
Width of clip : 854

Another example
Python3

clip1 = clip.subclip( 0 , 7 )
width = clip1.w
print ("Width of clip : " + str (width))
print (" - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - ")
clip1.ipython_display()
|
Output :
Width of clip : 656
---------------------------------------
