In this article we will see how we can get the original file name of the video file in MoviePy. MoviePy is a Python module for video editing, which can be used for basic operations on videos and GIF’s. Original file name is the name of the original video that existed in the first place i.e which was loaded, even after altering and editing of the video we can get the original name of the file.
We can load the video file clip with the help of command given below
clip = VideoFileClip(file_name)
In order to do this we will use filename
attribute with the VideoFileClip object
Syntax : clip.filename
Argument : It takes no argument
Return : It returns string
Below is the implementation
from moviepy.editor import *
clip = VideoFileClip( "dsa_geek.webm" )
clip1 = clip.subclip( 0 , 10 )
clip1 = clip1.resize( 0.5 )
clip1 = clip1.rotate( 180 )
name = clip1.filename
print ( "File Name : " + name)
print ( "---------------------------------------" )
clip1.ipython_display()
|
Output :
File Name : dsa_geek.webm
---------------------------------------
Moviepy - Building video __temp__.mp4.
Moviepy - Writing video __temp__.mp4
Moviepy - Done !
Moviepy - video ready __temp__.mp4
Another example
from moviepy.editor import *
clip = VideoFileClip( "geeks.mp4" )
clip1 = clip.subclip( 0 , 7 )
name = clip1.filename
print ( "File Name : " + name)
print ( "---------------------------------------" )
clip1.ipython_display()
|
Output :
File Name : geeks.mp4
---------------------------------------
Moviepy - Building video __temp__.mp4.
MoviePy - Writing audio in __temp__TEMP_MPY_wvf_snd.mp3
MoviePy - Done.
Moviepy - Writing video __temp__.mp4
