MotorQ Interview Experience for Internship (On-Campus)

 The USA, Bay Area-based organization, offered internships for a 2-month duration

This Organization visits IIT’s and BITS offering CTC and Fixed Salary higher than any other Domestic Organization. And visited our campus on 24 September 2020

For SDE +ML+ Data Analytics

Round 1 (Resume Shortlisting): Around 200 out of 300 were shortlisted for the online assessment

Round 2 (Online Assessment): 200 students sit for this round. This assessment consisted of 1 easy+2 medium coding questions. The test was of 1.5 hours. Was able to do 2.5 questions, the 3 question was a bit tough and only 1 student was able to do it completely.

One of the questions was:  There are N shops selling M different items. We have to buy M-1 different items from each shop. If we want to have all M kinds of items, then what is the min amount we need to spend. Given a 2d matrix denoting the ith store sell the jth item for arr[i][j] dollars.

Shortlisted 6 out of 200 students for interviews

Round 3 (Technical Interview): It was a virtual Interview based on Microsoft Teams and visual studio code Live Plugin for shared coding. Was asked to design a database for a given condition, top SQL queries, and range SQL queries.

Round 4 (Technical Interview): The discussion started with projects on the resume. Was asked 2 DSA problems and basic DSA concepts as well as for DBMS theory.

One CP question was: To get the k max sum given 2 arrays and picking one element from each array. 

3 students were shortlisted after this round

Round 5 (CTO Round): Had an interview with the CTO who checked my compatibility in their organization, the discussion based on projects, out of which he asked questions on firestore, the difference in performance from Relational Database, Indexing.

Then I was asked then when are you available for the internship and asked me to ask questions if I have any.

1 student out of 300 students was selected for an Internship at MOTORQ for this profile.
