The parental control feature on a computer system is designed to restrict the access of children to inappropriate content. The settings and restrictions can be customized according to the needs of the parents, thus allowing them to allow unrestricted access only to age-appropriate websites or games.

Methods to Remove Parental Controls on devices

 

Steps of Activation:

Step 1: Log in with administrator permissions on their device. 

Step 2: Click on “Control Panel”. 

Step 3: Go to “Family Safety” → “Parental Controls” 

Step 4: Toggle the button next to “Enable parental controls“. A window will pop up which will provide options for setting up appropriate levels of restrictions. 

Step 5: Select the appropriate level of restrictions. For example: “child”, “low”, or “moderate”. 

Step 6: Review the options on the screen before setting up new restrictions.

Step 7: To add the website or app you want to block, write in XXXX (site name:, in App XXXX (application name:, then click on “Add website” or “Add app“. 

Step 8: To remove a website or app, select the option and click on the “Remove” button. 

Step 9:  Choose a password with which to lock the settings, then enter it to confirm it. It is important to use strong passwords with at least 8 characters long and numbers and letters. 

Step 10: Open the “Specific settings” window by clicking on “Specific settings” in the menu bar. 

Step 11:  Check that all options are set as you want them to be. 

Step 12:  Click on “Save“. The settings will be saved, and you will be able to monitor the compliance of your child by using the activity report.

Steps To Enable And Disable Parental Controls:

  •  iPhone: On your iPhone, go to Settings → General → Restrictions and then disable the option “Block content”.
  • iPad: On your iPad, go to Settings → General → Restrictions and then disable the option “Block content”. You can also see hidden settings in this section where you can activate or disable blocking. [Do note that by disabling restrictions you are also disabling Parental controls.]
  • iPod touch: On your iPod touch, go to Settings → Parental Control → Block Content. You can also see hidden settings in this section where you can activate or disable blocking. [Do note that by disabling restrictions you are also disabling Parental controls.]
  • Android: On your Android phone/tablet, go to Settings → General → Restrictions and then disable the option “Set Passcode“. A pop-up will appear, and then you can enter a new passcode. After entering a new passcode you’ll see that option “Set Passcode” is disabled. You can also see hidden settings in this section where you can activate or deactivate blocking. [Do note that by disabling restrictions you are also disabling Parental controls.]
