Maya and 3Ds Max both are animation software used for creating different styles of 3D animations. They are used by individuals as well as organisations for the commercial production of animation works. These softwares are used in making animated movies, series, video game assets, visual effects, designing house models etc. There is always been a confusion in choosing a software for the work which would be best suited for them. Maya-vs-3ds-max

Maya is an animation software developed by Autodesk so it is also known as Autodesk Maya. It is not free but its trial version is available for free for a limited time period. It was initially released in 1998. It is written in different programming languages like C#, C++, Python, MEL etc.

3Ds Max is a computer graphics software tool which is used in the animations and the visual effects industry. The development credit for this software goes to Autodesk. It was initially released in 1996 and the stable release was in 2021. It is capable of running on Windows 7 and later versions of Windows.
