Magento can be understood as an e-commerce platform which helps its users to create online stores for selling their products and services. It was founded by Roy Rubin and it was initially launched in 2008. It was built using the PHP programming language. It is an open-source platform. In 2018 Adobe Incorporation purchased it for $1.68 billion. MySQL and MariaDB are used as databases to store information.

Wix can be understood as a website builder which helps the users to make websites or web applications for different platforms like mobiles, desktops, tablets etc. It comes packed with a large number of tools which allow users to build a website by drag and drop functionality. Along with website building, it also provides hosting features at a reasonable price. Wix was launched in the year 2006.

8. It is best for large enterprises that want to develop complex online stores. It is best for small, medium and big companies.
