Recently I have cracked Luxoft Interview so I think I can some share some tips and guidance with you to crack Luxoft-A DXC Technology Company(or other similar organizations) Interview.

First if all let me introduce myself, I am a software Engineer with 3+ Years of experience in Dot Net technology currently working at Luxoft.

Overview:

Mainly, there will be 3-4 technical rounds(excluding HR)

  • Round 1: would be online MCQ+ Programming test with around 30 MCQs and 3 Programs to write.
  • Round 2: would be technical discussion with senior software engineer(SSE).
  • Round 3: if second did not go well  or if they are not well satisfied with your ability then this might will occur(so this may or may not occur).
  • Round 4: Technical + Project + Behavioral questions will be there in this round.

And as usual HR rounds will occur after all of the above rounds for your expectation and salary discussion. you have to be careful on this round as well. do not take lightly as you are still not the employee of the company.

Details:

Round 1: Mainly Focus on Following

  • API: it will be MCQ so try some online MCQ test beforehand. go thru topics like HTTP/S, API request/response, REST(Representational state transfer), SOAP(simple object access protocol), WSDL(web service description language) etc.
  • C#: Fundamentals of .NET Framework, Classes & Objects, Concepts of OOP’s (Encapsulation, Inheritance, Polymorphism, Abstraction), Difference between Abstract & Interface, Static Class and Static keyword in .Net, Overloading & Overriding, Boxing & Un-boxing, Collections(Including Generics), Extension method, Value Type & Reference Types, Constructor & Methods, Types of memory in .NET, Constants, Read-Only & Static etc. These topics will be helpful in technical discussion rounds as well so brush up them deeply.
  • SQL: Joins(Inner/left/right/full and self join) are most important. Functions, Stored procedures, Views, common table expression, indexing are also second most prior topics cover other topics as well.
  • Programs: I have already mentioned what types of program and difficulty of program in this link: https://www.geeksforgeeks.org/luxoft-interview-experience-for-software-engineer-dotnet-3-years-experienced/.

Practice some programs(even basic one) on online coding platform like leetcode, hackerrank, hackerEarth etc. so that you will have exposure over online coding environment, how it works and how to pass all test cases and how to select your favorite language etc. beforehand.

These programs were quite easy if you have good practice coding(even if you have written enough programs on college time)  you will easily solve these programs. for me, I was not so good at SQL so SQL program took me more time to solve.

Round 2: Assume it like a technical discussion is going to happen with your colleague(senior), so do not distress yourself and be calm. Most of the questions will be from above topics but recommend to brush up other important topics as well.

Round 3: This will be another technical round, usually it does not occur if they are quite satisfied with your skills and behavior in the second round, Think it as they are giving you another chance to show/prove your skills/talent that you have missed/messed up in previous round, this time be sure to make them believe that you worth it.

Round 4: Again assume it like a technical discussion going to happen with your tech lead or technical/non-technical manager. they will throw some technical questions, project related questions and also behavioral questions in random manner(sometime). so do not worry take a deep breath and answer them very calmly and wisely, nothing to fear. these questions vary person to person so do research by your self online and be prepared to receive any sort of questions on your current project or projects mentioned in resume.

Last will be HR round that I am not going to discuss, basically it will be salary discussion, your expectations, organization rules and policy and Q&A if you have any.

Thanks so much for reading this article. hope you have enjoyed it and wish you a best of luck for your upcoming interview. see you in next article.
