Lowe’s India conducted an off-campus CODE-A-THON called ‘House of Code’ on the unstop platform for the batch of 2023.
A total of 50K candidates took part in the CODE-A-THON.

1st Round: (MCQ):

  1. A total of 25 MCQ questions were asked, questions were from DSA, OS, DBMS, CN, SWE, and Compiler Design.
  2. Each question was to be answered within 1 min.
  3. Marking was based on correct answer + speed (How fast did you answer).

Out of 50K, only 5K got shortlisted for the second round.

2nd Round: (Coding):

  1. Solve 2 DSA questions within 90mins.

I was able to solve both the questions in 10mins (LUCK). 1st question was of easy level based on vectors and the second problem was based on bit manipulation and recursion.

Out of 5K, only 400 got shortlisted.

3rd round: (Resume Shortlisting): Out of 400 only 160 got shortlisted for the interview.

INTERVIEW ROUND: I got only 1 day to prepare for the technical interview, so I did what most people would do. I revised DSA, DBMS, and OOPS. That’s all I could do in 1 day. But the interview was based only on projects. The discussion went too deep about my projects. I started well but in the end, I started fumbling as I never studied my tech stack that deep.

I had a chat with other candidates and got to know that some were asked only DSA questions and some were asked only OOPS questions. So it’s also about luck when it comes to interviews. I didn’t get the chance to appear for the HR round.
