jQWidgets is a JavaScript framework for making web-based applications for PC and mobile devices. It is a very powerful, optimized, platform-independent, and widely supported framework. The jqxTreeGrid is used for representing data in a tree-like structure. This widget is useful for displaying multi-column of hierarchical data, data paging, sorting and filtering, data editing, column resizing, fixed columns, conditional formatting, aggregates, and rows selection. These widgets also read and display the data from any type of data source such as XML, JSON, Array, CSV, or TSV.

The endCellEdit() method is used to end a cell editing process of the specified jqxTreeGrid. This method works when the editable property is set to true.

Syntax:

$("#treeGrid").jqxTreeGrid('endCellEdit',
        rowKey, dataField, cacelChanges);

Parameters: This method accepts three parameters that are illustrated below.

  • rowKey: This is the specified row key whose cell editing will end.
  • dataField: This is the specified data field or column name whose cell editing will end.
  • cancelChanges: This is an optional parameter that checks whether the changes would be cancelled or confirmed. Its default value is false.

Return Values: This method does not return any values.

Example: The below example illustrates the jQWidgets jqxTreeGrid endCellEdit() method. In the below example, the second row of the first column cell was already in editing mode and later after clicking the “End the cell edit” button, that editing comes to an end.
