jQWidgets is a JavaScript framework for making web-based applications for PC and mobile devices. It is a very powerful and optimized framework, platform-independent, and widely supported. The jqxRibbon is a jQuery widget that can be used as a tabbed toolbar or mega menu.

The hideAt() method is used to hide an item by using an index number. It accepts a single parameter index, which is of Number type and does not return any value.

Syntax:

$('#jqxRibbon').jqxRibbon('hideAt', index);

Linked Files: Download jQWidgets from the given link. In the HTML file, locate the script files in the downloaded folder.

<link rel=”stylesheet” href=”jqwidgets/styles/jqx.base.css” type=”text/css” />
<script type=”text/javascript” src=”scripts/jquery-1.11.1.min.js”></script>
<script type=”text/javascript” src=”jqwidgets/jqxcore.js”></script>
<script type=”text/javascript” src=”jqwidgets/jqx-all.js”></script>
<script type=”text/javascript” src=”jqwidgets/jqxribbon.js”></script>

Example: The below example illustrates the jQWidgets jqxRibbon hideAt() method where the indexing starts from 0 & we have used the index value 2 that will hide the 3rd item when the button is clicked.
