jQWidgets jqxNavigationBar val() Method

  • Last Updated : 29 Oct, 2021

jQWidgets is a JavaScript framework for making web-based applications for PC and mobile devices. It is a very powerful, optimized, platform-independent, and widely supported framework. The jqxNavigationBar is used for representing a jQuery widget that has header and content sections. On clicking over the header, the content will be expanded or collapsed accordingly.

The val() method is used for setting or getting the expanded item of the specified jqxNavigationBar.

Syntax:

  • For setting the expanded item:

    $('Selector').jqxNavigationBar('val', Item_Index);

  • For setting the expanded item using jQuery’s val():

    $("Selector").val(Item_Index);
  • For getting the expanded item:

    var value = $("Selector").jqxNavigationBar('val');
  • For getting the expanded item’s index using jQuery’s val():

    var value = $("Selector").val();

Parameters: This method accepts a parameter that is illustrated below:

  • Item_Index: This is the specified index of the item.

Return values: This method returns the index of the item.
