jQWidgets is a JavaScript framework for making web-based applications for PC and mobile devices. It is a very powerful, optimized, platform-independent, and widely supported framework. The jqxListBox is used to illustrate a jQuery ListBox widget which comprises a list of electable elements.
The addItem() method is used to add a new item to the stated list. Moreover, it returns true, in case the new item is attached or else false, in case the item is not appended. It has a parameter named item which is of type object or string and it does not returns anything.
The following fields can be utilized in favor of the new item:
- label
- value
- disabled
- checked
- hasThreeStates
- html
- group
Syntax:
When item is of type string:
$("#jqxListBox").jqxListBox('addItem', 'Item');
When item is of type object:
$("#jqxListBox").jqxListBox('addItem', { label: 'Text' value: 'Id'} );
