jQWidgets jqxGrid getcolumnproperty() Method

jQWidgets is a JavaScript framework for making web-based applications for PC and mobile devices. It is a very powerful, optimized, platform-independent, and widely supported framework. The jqxGrid is used to illustrate a jQuery widget that shows data in tabular form. Moreover, it renders full support for connecting with data, as well as paging, grouping, sorting, filtering, and editing.

The getcolumnproperty() method is used to return a property of the specified column. It has two parameters namely dataField, which is of type string, and propertyName, which is also of type string. It returns an object.

Syntax:

var value = $('#Selector').jqxGrid(
    'getcolumnproperty', 'firstname', 'width');

The possible properties are as follows:

  • text: It is the stated name of the column.
  • hidden: It states if the specified column is hidden or not.
  • hideable: It states if the specified column can be hidden or not.
  • renderer: It renders the specified column.
  • cellsrenderer: It renders the cells.
  • align: It defines the alignment of the column.
  • cellsalign: It defines the alignment of the cells.
  • cellsformat: It defines the format of the cells.
  • pinned: It states if a column is pinned or not.
  • contenttype: It defines the type of content of the specified column.
  • resizable: It states if the column is resizable or not.
  • filterable: It states if the column is filterable or not.
  • editable: It states if the column is editable or not.
  • cellclassname: It defines the name of the class of the specified cell.
  • classname: It defines the name of the class.
  • width: It defines the width of the specified column.
  • minwidth: It defines the minimum width of the column specified.
  • maxwidth: It defines the maximum width of the column specified.
