jQWidgets is a JavaScript framework for making web-based applications for PC and mobile devices. It is a very powerful, optimized, platform-independent, and widely supported framework. The jqxGauge represents a jQuery gauge widget, it is an indicator within a range of values. We can use Gauges to show a value in a range of values in the data region, there are 2 types of gauges: RadialGauge and LinearGauge.The LinearGauge is a gauge widget that can be represented either horizontally or vertically & its value is represented linearly in a vertical manner from some values.

The ticksMinor property is used to set or return the ticksMinor property. i.e. this property is used to set or return the jqxLinearGauge’s properties for its minor ticks. It accepts Object type value and the default value is  { size: ‘10%’, interval: 5, style: { stroke: ‘#A1A1A1’, ‘stroke-width’: 1 }, visible: true.

Syntax:

  • It is used to set the ticksMinor property.
$('Selector').jqxLinearGauge({ ticksMinor : Object});
  • It is used to return the ticksMinor property.
var ticksMinor = $('Selector').jqxLinearGauge('ticksMinor');

Possible Values:

  • size: It specifies the length of the tick. This property accepts the size either in pixels or percentages.
  • interval: It specifies the frequency of the ticks. With an interval equals to 5, each fifth value of the gauge will have a minor tick.
  • visible: It indicates if the minor ticks will be visible.
  • style: It is used to set the style of the tick ie., its color and thickness.
