jQWidgets is a JavaScript framework for making web-based applications for PC and mobile devices. It is a very powerful, optimized, platform-independent, and widely supported framework. jqxGauge represents a jQuery gauge widget, it is an indicator within a range of values. We can use Gauges to show a value in a range of values in the data region, there are 2 types of gauges: RadialGauge and LinearGauge. In LinearGauge, value is represented linearly in a vertical manner from some values.

The pointer property is used to set or return the pointer property. i.e. it is used to set or return the jqxLinearGauge’s properties for its pointer. It accepts object type value and its default value is as follows

{
  pointerType: 'default',
  style:
     {
       fill: 'theme-specific-color',
       stroke: 'theme-specific-color'
      },
  size: '7%', visible: true, offset: 0
 }

Syntax:

  • Set the pointer property.
    $('Selector').jqxLinearGauge({ pointer : object });
  • Return the pointer property.
    var pointer = $('Selector').jqxLinearGauge('pointer');
