jQWidgets is a JavaScript framework for making web-based applications for PC and mobile devices. It is a very powerful and optimized framework, platform-independent, and widely supported. The jqxFormattedInput is a jQuery input widget that is used for taking input of numbers in the binary, octal, decimal, or hexadecimal format. The input number can be incremented/decremented through the spin buttons which are optional and the numeral system can be changed through a pop-up menu which is also optional.

The template property is used to set or return the template as an alternative to the default styles. It accepts String type value and its default value is ‘default’.

Its possible values are –

  • ‘default’: It is the default template and its style depends on the “theme” property value.
  • ‘primary’: It sets the dark blue style for extra visual weight.
  • ‘success’: It sets the green style for successful or positive action.
  • ‘warning’: It sets the orange style that represents caution.
  • ‘danger’: It sets the red style that represents the dangerous or negative action.
  • ‘info’: It sets the blue button, not tied to a semantic action or use.

Syntax:

Set the template property.

$('selector').jqxFormattedInput({ template: String });

Return the template property.

var template = $('selector').jqxFormattedInput('template');
