jQWidgets is a JavaScript framework for making web-based applications for PC and mobile devices. It is a very powerful, optimized, platform-independent, and widely supported framework. The jqxEditor is used to represent a jQuery HTML text editor that can be used to simplify web content creation and can also be used as a replacement for HTML Text Areas.

The setMode() method is used to determine whether the jqxEditor displays its value as formatted html or html code. It takes a boolean as parameter and does not return any value.

Syntax:

$('Selector').jqxEditor('setMode', true);

Parameters: This method takes one parameter as discussed below:

  • Mode: It is a boolean value that determines whether the jqxEditor displays its value as formatted html or html code.

Linked Files: Download jQWidgets from https://www.jqwidgets.com/download/ link. In the HTML file, locate the script files in the downloaded folder:

<link rel=”stylesheet” href=”jqwidgets/styles/jqx.base.css” type=”text/css” />
<script type=”text/javascript” src=”scripts/jquery-1.11.1.min.js”></script>
<script type=”text/javascript” src=”jqwidgets/jqxcore.js”></script>
<script type=”text/javascript” src=”jqwidgets/jqxbuttons.js”></script>
<script type=”text/javascript” src=”jqwidgets/jqxscrollbar.js”></script>
