jQWidgets is a JavaScript framework for making web-based applications for PC and mobile devices. It is a very powerful, optimized, platform-independent, and widely supported framework. The jqxEditor is used to represent a jQuery HTML text editor that can be used to simplify web content creation and can also be used as a replacement for HTML Text Areas.

The editable property is used to set or return the editable property i.e. the editor can be set as editable or non-editable. It accepts Boolean type value and its default value is true.

Syntax:

Set the editable property.

$('Selector').jqxEditor({ editable: Boolean });

Return the editable property.

var editable = $('Selector').jqxEditor('editable');
