jQWidgets jqxDataTable beginCellEdit() Method

jQWidgets is a JavaScript framework for making web-based applications for PC and mobile devices. It is a very powerful, optimized, platform-independent, and widely supported framework. The jqxDataTable is used for reading and displaying the data from the HTML Table. This is also used to display data from various data sources like XML, JSON, Array, CSV, or TSV.

The beginCellEdit() method is used to begin a cell edit operation when editable is set to true.

Syntax:

$("#dataTable").jqxDataTable('beginCellEdit', rowIndex, dataField);

Parameters: This function accepts two parameters which are illustrated below.

  • rowIndex: This is the specified row index that will be in editable mode after the execution of this method. Its value starts from 0.
  • dataField: This is the specified data field that will be in editable mode after the execution of this method.
