jQuery UI consists of GUI widgets, visual effects, and themes implemented using HTML, CSS, and jQuery. jQuery UI is great for building UI interfaces for the webpages. The jQuery UI selectmenu widget can provide us with select options. We can use this widget to make a form for different actions.

The jQuery UI Selectmenu close event is used to trigger when the menu item is closed. This event will fire when we close the menu item list.

The Selectmenu change event accepts a single value that is given below:

  • event: It represents the event for the selectmenu widget.

Note: The ui object is empty but it is added for consistency with other events.

Syntax:

Initialize the selectmenu with the close callback:

$( ".selector" ).selectmenu({
      close: function( event, ui ) {}
});

Bind an event listener to the selectmenuclose event:

$( ".selector" ).on(
    "selectmenuclose",
    function( event, ui ) {}
);

CDN Link: First, add jQuery UI scripts needed for your project.
