jQuery UI  is a web-based technology and consists of GUI widgets, visual effects, and themes implemented using the jQuery, JavaScript Library. jQuery UI is the best tool for building UI interfaces for the webpages. It can also be used to build highly interactive web applications or can be used to add widgets easily.

In this article, we will learn how to use the jQuery UI Droppable hoverClass Option. Using this option, the class will be added to the droppable while an acceptable draggable is being hovered over the droppable. The default value of this option is “false”.

Syntax:

The hoverClass option takes a boolean type value and the syntax is as follows:

$( ".selector" ).draggable({ hoverClass: "drop-hover" });
  • Get the hoverClass option:

    var hoverClass = $( ".selector" ).droppable( "option", "hoverClass" );
  • Set the hoverClass option:

    $( ".selector" ).droppable( "option", "hoverClass", "drop-hover" );
