In this article, we will learn how to use the jQuery UI Droppable greedy Option. This option set the parent droppable not to receive the element. The default value of this option is “false”.

Syntax:

The greedy option takes a boolean type value and the syntax is as follows:

$( ".selector" ).draggable({ appendTo: "body" });
  • Get the greedy option:

    var appendTo = $( ".selector" ).draggable( "option", "appendTo" );
  • Set the greedy option:

    $( ".selector" ).draggable( "option", "appendTo", "body" );
