jQuery UI consists of GUI widgets, visual effects, and themes implemented using jQuery, CSS, and HTML. jQuery UI is great for building UI interfaces for the webpages. The jQuery UI Datepicker minDate option is used to set the minimum selectable date. If we set it to null, there is no minimum date.

Syntax:

$( ".selector" ).datepicker({
  minDate: new Date(2007, 1 - 1, 1)
});

CDN Link: First, add jQuery UI scripts needed for your project.

<link rel=”stylesheet” href=”//code.jquery.com/ui/1.12.1/themes/smoothness/jquery-ui.css”>
<script src=”//code.jquery.com/jquery-1.12.4.js”></script>
<script src=”//code.jquery.com/ui/1.12.1/jquery-ui.js”></script>

Example:

HTML

<!DOCTYPE html>
<html lang="en">

<head>
    <meta charset="utf-8" />
    <link href=
        rel="stylesheet" />
    </script>
    </script>

    <!-- Javascript -->
    <script>
        $(function () {
            $("#gfg").datepicker({
                minDate: new Date(2021, 1 - 1, 1)
            });
        });
    </script>
</head>

<body>
    <h1>GeeksforGeeks</h1>
    <h3>jQuery UI Datepicker minDate Option</h3>

    <div>Enter Date: <input type="text" id="gfg" /></div>
</body>

</html>
