jQuery Mobile is a web-based technology used to make responsive content that can be accessed on all smartphones, tablets, and desktops.

In this article, we will be using the jQuery Mobile Selectmenu nativeMenu option. When the value of this nativeMenu option is set to true, after clicking the custom-styled select menu will open the native select menu which is best for performance. If its value is set to false, the custom select menu style will be used instead of the native menu.

Syntax:

Initializing the selectmenu with the nativeMenu option.

$( ".selector" ).selectmenu({
nativeMenu: true
});
  • Setting the nativeMenu option.

    $( ".selector" ).selectmenu("option", "nativeMenu", true);
  • Getting the nativeMenu option.

    var shadow = $( ".selector" ).selectmenu( "option", "nativeMenu" );

CDN Link: First, add jQuery Mobile scripts needed for your project.
