jQuery Mobile is a web-based technology used to make responsive content that can be accessed on all smartphones, tablets, and desktops.

In this article, we will be using the jQuery Mobile panel display option to define the relationship of the panel to the page contents. This option accepts one of three values that are illustrated below.

  • reveal: This value is used to push the page over.
  • push: This value is used to reflow the content to fit the panel content as a column.
  • overlay: This value is used to sit over the content.

Syntax:

Initializing the panel with the display option.

$( ".selector" ).panel({
  display: "overlay"
});
  • Setting the display option.

    $( ".selector" ).panel( "option", "display", "overlay" );
  • Getting the display option.

    var theme = $( ".selector" ).panel( "option", "display" );

CDN Link: First, add jQuery Mobile scripts needed for your project.

<script src=”//code.jquery.com/mobile/1.5.0-alpha.1/jquery.mobile-1.5.0-alpha.1.min.js”></script>
