ISRO | ISRO CS 2020 | Question 38

  • Last Updated : 04 Sep, 2020

If x + 2y = 30, then (2y/5 + x/3) + (x/5 + 2y/3) will be equal to
(A) 8
(B) 16
(C) 18
(D) 20

Answer: (B)

Explanation: Let,

= (2y/5 + x/3) + (x/5 + 2y/3)
= (6y + 5x)/15 + (3x + 10y) /15
= (8x + 16y) / 15
= 8*(x + 2y) / 15
= 8*30 / 15     {given, x + 2y = 30}
= 8*2
= 16

Option (B) is correct.
