In this article, we will discuss the overview of IoT features and will discuss some main features in detail. Let’s discuss it one by one.

Overview :
IoT Achieves the true potential of technology first feature is to Connect various things to the IoT platform. And second is to Analyze the data collected and use it to build business intelligence. And the third one is to integrate various models to improve user experience.

IoT features :
Now, let’s talk about these features in detail.

Feature-1: Connect :

  1. Device Virtualization –
It standardizes the integration of devices with the IoT enterprise.
  2. High-Speed Messaging –
It enables reliable, secure, and bi-directional communication between devices and the cloud.
  3. Endpoint Management –
Manage device endpoint identity, metadata, and lifecycle states for all devices (in simple words from which device which data is coming and what needs to be done with that data as well).

Feature-2: Analyze :

  1. Stream Processing –
Real-time analysis of incoming data streams with event aggregation, filtering, and correlation.
  2. Data Enrichment –
It enriches raw data streams with contextual information and generates composite streams. (in simple words need to identify which is contextually important information which is going to be taken forward).
  3. Event Store –
It queries and visualizes massive amounts of data with integrated cloud service support and enables big data analysis.

Feature-3: Integrate :

  1. Enterprise Connectivity –
It dynamically dispatches critical IoT data and events to applications and process flow. For example, if a leakage problem is there in plumbing then it can contact the corresponding service provider and corresponding details dispatched.
  2. REST API –
API-based integration with cloud apps and IoT devices (communication done through it).
  3. Command And Control –
It sends messages to devices from enterprise and mobile apps, independent of device connectivity.
